Notes Needs longer exposure to get better signal to noise ratio. First use of MaxIM (demo). Wow, I have to buy this software!
Background M2 is 150 light years across and contains about 150,000 stars, (not all of which can be seen in this photo). Located in the constellation Aquarius with a magnitude of 7, it lies at a distance of 36,000 light years. This object is very compact making the center hard to resolve.
